Hardwood Floor Project: Day 2

Mission: Remove ugly tile floor and go from there.. We picked Saturday as the day to remove the tile because it was 2 days after my Mom's birthday and it was a good reason for me to take the boys up to Kentland for the day so we could stay out of Loren's way. After looking at the pictures Loren took of the process, I was very glad we were far from this mess.

Tile Removal

Plywood Removal - As you can see this was far from easy. The plywood was attached to the subfloor with 2-inch staples every 4 inches or so.

Demolition Complete!

Cut and placed underlayment, and started measuring, cutting & laying the floor boards.

We moved the bookshelves out of the playroom, so we could prep that room the next day. At 10:00 or so, we called it a night.
